vdhamer 0 Posted August 13, 2005 Sugar? Can't see what it is (fruit? cheese? with green lighting?) so I can't appreciate the title. Link to comment
christos 0 Posted August 20, 2005 first of all, who cares about the title?!... to put it blatantly, who gives a bloody moment of her life?... and still the title here is pretty good, sharp and sweet together... It catches the attention.. It goes with the yellow-greenish (rather uncomfortable and wicked) light on black.. I'm wondering if people expect words to tell them what they are going to see... as if there was a corresponding and unilateral relationship of representation in language (sorry guys there isn't! there are one thousand realities out there in these fruit slices, and all these ready for interpretation)... as if the photographer's aim should be to fit text and icon together in some kind of neat way... in the end, i think a photograph offers a chance to feed the senses and the thoughts, more than spend much time on some textual label (there are of course some exceptions where the title/text becomes part of the work) Link to comment
dexdee 0 Posted August 22, 2005 I agree with Christos Stavrou, because his sentense is so right: "I'm wondering if people expect words to tell them what they are going to see...". Nothing more to say. Oh, yes it's a melon. Thx to everyone specially to Christos Stavrou for the good words and explenation. Regards DDD Link to comment
