daviddbfotoart 0 Posted July 31, 2005 This is a fantastically constructed photograph. All of the elements fit perfectly. Maybe, and only so I can have something else to say apart from praise, is a more natural colour to the sand. It seems a bit grey, but I'm used to the sunny beaches of Australia. Well done. jeosacoh 0 Posted July 31, 2005 oooh... that's brilliant! Nice job! you're one melting clock away from being a modern day Salvador Dali. Link to comment
timohicks 0 Posted July 31, 2005 Thanks guys for the encouragement. I value your comments very much. David I agree with you regarding the color of the sand,; it could be warmer. Excellent point. The beach is close to white sand so when I changed contrast to bring out overlapping elements, it goes cool and gray looking. I can't change it here because I would loose my ratings but I will definately give it some thought. Funny you should mention Salvador Dali, Jeosa, I realy enjoy repeated observations of his "Last Supper" and "Christ of St John on the Cross." But I also follow the works of Rene' Margritte, another surrealist, particularly the manner in which he places day and night within the same compositional context (or pretext).
