The eternal problem - either they think they look to fat, too thin, the boobs are drooping or feel they're too lined! But let's be honest, there's something special about all of them. This is great Howard. You seem to have hit the contrast on this one quite heavily and it appears the shot was taken in a lot of sunlight. But it works for me.

Howard- now for another woman's point of view. I like the pose, I like the image, what I don't like is the the severe shadows on her neck & face. I think this is why she thinks she looks old. I would Hi-key this even more. Just to show you what I mean here's a quick shot.

Howard very good looking portrait. I agree with Jayme, the shadow is what make her think as she do.The details of her cloths, and earings are as well very well captured. Pnina

You always seem to capture the real person within and your high-key approach has been just about as consistent as how the sun will surely rise from the east. I also agree with Jayme about lighten up her neck area to lessen the contrast, making her look much more vibrant. I have to say though little nuances like this that make big difference, but I'm sure as you were creating this, it must have been difficult to figure out how dark, how light certain area needs to be. Nice work still, Howard. ^_^

She certainly is well caught and understood.I wonder, if she knows herself that well. But Your approach is always loving.

may I underline what Alix just said - she's so right! I often wonder what makes (especially women) look old and of course we can find some traces of age here - but - as long as she's energetic she shouldn't care.

It's probably not the age she minds, but the "hardness" of the look that the increased contrast creates. I like it a bit softer....

every portrait you made is very good portrait. Always with charakter. This one too. Eyecatcher.

I don't think she looks too old ... but it would depend on how old she really is. If she's 20, then she definitely looks too old. :-) I like how you caught her. The earrings and necklace definitely add to the mood, too!
