Excellent shot with great details, did u use a teleconverter with the nikon 300mm lens, because u seem very close to the bird given that u used only a 300mm lens! Congrats anyhow.

Well done on getting so close. This is a really, really good shot. The sky however, is a tiny bit too red for my liking (perhaps its my monitor). This minor niggle aside, your shot is sharp, detailed, well composed and well light. Great stuff!

C'est du faux. L'oiseau est empaille (ca se voit, il bouge pas!), la cigale est en plastique. Pour une pose de studio, c'est pas mal!!! Parcontre tu dois avoir une sacree collection de guepiers empailles ࠬa maison. Non, sans blague, superbe!

Why are you convinced that this is not real and that the insect or cicada is plastic? Also, from just what is presented in the picture, there is no reason for you to suggest that this is definitely a studio creation. Please provide further speculation on why you think this was staged.

 

Although you raise interesting questions, we must give the benefit of the doubt to Mr. Thierry. I think it is a very nice image, but you seem CONVINCED that it is fake. I think that is, at best, a stretch of the imagination.
