snakecharmer 0 Posted July 18, 2005 I assume that the light, rather than his hair, was green? Good shot, but maybe temper down the light effects some-- they work better on stage than on my monitor. Great choice of subject. Chris is one of the hottest men alive! Link to comment
scottm 0 Posted July 18, 2005 Nice capture. After reading Steve Mirarchi's article here on concert photography, I have a much greater appreciation for what goes into this. Care to expand a bit on the details of getting this shot? What ISO did you use on your 10D? Link to comment
goulden 0 Posted July 19, 2005 i've a couple of chris martin shots from this same tour in this folder it's a very challenging stage set up to shoot with very very high contrast between the spotlight and the black background they have for the first three songs. Some minor criticisms are that it's a shame you weren't further right or back further and included some of his fingers or the piano keys. Also his mouth is so close to the mic and not the greatest expression captured. I'd crop a bit of the top off as the portrait format doesn't help with this shot in particular. and yes, I'm just as picky with my shots of coldplay too. If only they'd give us more than three songs to shoot in.... Link to comment
rene_huemer 0 Posted July 30, 2005 just be thankful for 3 songs .. ihad 5 minutes yesterday at bobby mcferrin and chick coreas show.. but back to the main topic...i know the stage was very high so it was impossible to get his fingers unless of course he would lft his arm.. i would say that the closeness to the mic spreads some of the feelings coldplay transports on their show.. cutting some of the top i d agree with but still having some space above doesnt bother me.. ha and you need to know about the fu**** conditions at the festival.. 3 days of rain and damn cold... so it was a hard job .. i like the capturing and keep up up the good work Link to comment
