elenaexisting 0 Posted February 20, 2006 It's a lovely scene. The glare on the right seems to bright for the rest of the image -- not sure how it looks full scale. Might consider cropping just to the edge of the fenceline and seeing if that helps or makes the perspective too flat. Link to comment
Jen Selwa 0 Posted February 20, 2006 This looks like a California lighthouse! I like it in the B&W and the picket fence leading your eye in works well. Link to comment
bonnici 0 Posted February 21, 2006 I am glad you like this image. I have a few more in color. I cannot take much credit for the color shots, as I was only the nut behind the wheel on those. The b/w, I shot, developed, and scanned.Click HERE for more lighthouses. Link to comment
suspendedmoments 0 Posted December 29, 2008 I did so many paintings of this very light house back in the 80's it's nice to see it again... when shooting buildings, I think it's more interesting to choose a corner vantage point, though this is also interesting, the fore building, in my opinion, somewhat detracts from the solitary feel of the original light house structure... interesting that you selected a dead on vantage point... the drain pipe does provide a nice diagonal relief and I like the stone work showing through the white wash. bonnici 0 Posted December 29, 2008 Thank you for your interest and comments. If I recall, I was intrigued in the fence and how it meandered. I was doing my very best to get a vantage point to shoot that I would not have any people or reference to anything modern or historical signs. Thank you again for your time to comment.
