i don't like photos of beggars/homeless unless there is a context (news story etc). Here, are you asking us what we think of this shot on an aesthetic level? it makes me feel like you are taking advantage of the poor guy. Poor taste.

This is real street photography-showing the world as it is. Poverty is out there and more people need to made aware of this. Beautiful photo6/6

Okay, I take your point. But more people need to be made aware of it? We ALL know it is there. If you want to help, then give the guy some money instead of buying another roll of film. What would help him more...a full belly, or people on photo.net knowing he is hungry?

 

I was very harsh in the rating, because this type of photography makes me very angry. This site is generally frequented by middle class types who can afford to spend their spare time taking pictures. Showing us this guy is just voyuerism, and is NOT helping at all.

 

How much does it cost to hire the gorgeous female models that you see on these pages? Hundreds of dollars per day? How much did this guy get paid???

 

Not as much. Go figure...

I liked the bending posture which adds much to the composition. A slight tilt towards left may be originated from wide angle distortion I think. The angle you took the photo is interesting. Usual beggar photos use only the beggar with or without the people around at sides. But this photo gives the view very close to the beggar's eye view. the world and the beggar I mean.

boy that other guy was harsh, it was photos like this one that inspierd me to do the photo aution that i am doing i had to pick one thing to send the $$$ to but it is photos like that get people off there but and do some thing to make this a better wold to live by the way i do not pay my modals any $$$ i ask people at random and it so happens they say yes and i am not middle class i am on the poor sied of things and i given up eatting to by film
