LenMarriott 9 Posted July 10, 2005 Jim, You've captured all the essential elements & quite nicely at that. Good idea, the orange filter. Wonder how one does that in Photoshop? Perhaps a tad too much foreground and the engine could be larger in the frame but that's a small nit-pic. One for the wall. Best, LM. Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted July 10, 2005 Janet and Len, thanks for your kind comments....A couple months ago I posted a Solarized version of this and I got the idea that a viewer was interested in what the normal scene looked like, so this is it.....I'm just glad that it isn't messed up technically....Jim Link to comment

randall ellis 2 Posted July 13, 2005 Great choice for a point of view. It gives the image a distinctive vertical feel. Nice work. - Randy Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted July 14, 2005 You know, I do have one particular regret concerning railroad photography. I really wish that I could have had a good camera and the interest back whilst I was a teenager, the steam engines were still running around. ....Jim Link to comment
bacsa 0 Posted October 24, 2005 interesting...this has a very dynamic composition...it's almost like the house is also moving towards me. Very nice. Link to comment

jeverz 0 Posted April 6, 2007 Taken from a good point of view, a Very nice photo! (Thanks for your comment Jim, No, i dont have a cat at the moment, but i did before. I never liked rats, but years ago i bought one because he was in the shop for a long time and nobody wanted to buy him. I started to like these little animals, and now i bought 2, also because i like to take photo's of them. Have a happy easter together with your family!) Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted July 20, 2007 again - composed really nicely in the frame but it's the mood that gets me. I grew up speinding my summers in a railroad town and this is that place all over again. I wish I could go back in time and get my own shots but alas, even the railroad station doesn't exist anymore. My father bought it and tore it down. Link to comment
