There's an old Joni Mitchell song FOR FREE and I quote "across the street he stood, and he played real good....for free" In the song it was a clarinet but who cares...}oD 7/7

I think this is an incredible image. I like everything about it from the location with the cracks in the sidewalk to the clothing and lightning in the backgrould. Excellent work.

If this is out of your box, you may want to consider re-defining the lines! How'd you do this, Lissa?

Hi Lisa,

This is a wonderful image. 7/7. However, I am a bass player myself, and, were I there, the girl would be smiling. Thank you for the image.

Street musician, lamppost Lorelei, and the End of the World. Not bad in one frame. HATE her shoes .

Wrapped in their own realities, they are oblivious to all else. The lady displays the alienating big-city ennui that keeps us apart. The gentleman, staring distantly to the right, absorbed and transfixed by his own sense of perception. From outside their world, we see what they do not.

It's a great creative photograph/manipulation Lisa! The only thing I would change would be the lightning bolt. It should either be receded farther back beyond that tall building, or brought closer to come crashing down right into the plaza. As it is, the bolt seems a little too "middle of the road". A wonderfully entertaining work. Regards.

I love the contrast. What a surreal and intriguing scene. They don't seem to be intimidated by what's happening in the world. Is this the sort of attidude we need right now? Great image.

Well ... this photo makes you stop and think, and think, and think. But then, isn't that what a piece of art should do? And this is more like a piece of art than a photograph. A composite of bits and pieces of photo images to create a feeling and mood. Very nicely done.
