dave_nitsche 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Roald, what B/W conversion method did you use on this? Really love the tonality. The eyes are a great addition, but almost give a "supernatural" twist to the image that may detract from the elegance and beauty of the shot itself. The composition is flawless IMO as is the DOF. Great shot... Link to comment
roald.valen 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Hi and thanks! I used channelmixer in CS2. I read a book by Kelby telling that keep one rule; the sum of all three channels should be 100% for this picture it is R:50%, G:60% & B:-10%. The eyes are contact lensees where I have dodged a little to give the look.... What does IMO and DOF means?? I'm pretty newbiee here ;) Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted June 29, 2005 IMO = In My Opinion DOF = Depth of Field. That's a pretty good rule to work under. You can go a bit under or over depending on the exposure. If your frame is exposed correctly than 100% total works. If underexposed you can boost it a bit. Great image. I wish I had taken it... Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted June 29, 2005 like doll eyes. I disagree about this calling for color but I will agree on Dave's comment regarding composition. I'd call the hand position with fan leading to the eye just about perfect. Planned or kizmit? Link to comment
roald.valen 0 Posted June 30, 2005 Thanks to all for nice comments! The hand was, unfortunately, not planned... Too bad to say that ;) I have to give the credit to the model for being so kind and give me the perfect pose :D Link to comment
