blago 0 Posted June 28, 2005 A candid shot of a beach scene. Please critique. Thank you. Link to comment
sawicki 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Yes. The composition is the most powerful feature of this photo. The scene is not really clear. But I like this mixture of lines, darg and light shades. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Strong diagonal and triangulation between subjects makes this for me, Blag. Also, I like the tonal shift along the diagonal - the fg dark, bg almost clouded in mystery. A stronger comp would be some more separation between the woman lying on her towel and the male entering the frame from right; I think he is placed okay, but she could be a third closer to the edge of the frame on the left. The image viewed alone is veering towards geometry, with near triangles cut by an oblong; I believe a 'tilted camera' view could also have been effective - where the square triangles would have just the 3 sides. The effect would be further highlighted by the triangulation of the people. Nice shot, cheers Seven Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 29, 2005 Great shot. I would leave it untitled. Composition is excellent! Link to comment
glabarca 0 Posted August 9, 2005 Composition is interesting, as Seven points, but I am for the story. Both woman look pissed of with the man, what is he doing there anyway? He is not even watching the ladies, they are not very welcoming and he is doing nothing to be accepted. Great photo Link to comment
