mcgarity 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Its sharp and well composed. Its really a lovely scene. That said I don't think the quality of the light was the best. Link to comment

wogears 186 Posted June 27, 2005 Very nice, but the blue wheelbarrow looks totally out of place. Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Great subject and composition, but a little underexposed. Link to comment

wayne_willis2 0 Posted June 28, 2005 i think the lack of quality adds mood to the shot. graeat composition and framing Link to comment
paolonigris 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Thank you all for your comments. If is too dark on your screen could be a monitor setting. The photo is actually overexposed and not underexposed. On top of that being dark is the all idea of a stormy weather. Link to comment
lee_fox1 0 Posted June 29, 2005 I agree that the blue wheelbarrow does not belong in the shot, it dates the image too strongly. I also think that the barn and the background (at the skyline) have too much, if not almost an artificial sharpness to it...my monitor, may also contribute to this..but it is too sharp !! The lighting (or lack of) is one of this image`s stronger points I.M.O. , It gives me the feeling of the ominous mix of light that precedes a good storm. Keep the color and crop..hide the wheelbarrow, soften the edges a bit..and I think this is a winner !! Link to comment
adam_hiscox 0 Posted June 29, 2005 I like this alot, simple, beautiful, elegant. I agree that the wheelbarrow is very out of place, and if I was to be a bit picky I would have loved to see one of the horses in the background a little closer to the barn, but that's just my opinion and I know there isn't anything to be done about that. Well done, I really like this. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted June 29, 2005 I love the colours & the tones & the composition. A wonderful piece of work. Glad i didn't miss it. Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Paolo, just an FYI. Looked at this image on 4 different monitors, all CRT, all calibrated to our ISO standards (graphic design and comp house) and on all 4 they looked the same (which I am very happy about by the way) and on all 4 it looked a bit too dark. Nice image any way... Link to comment
paolonigris 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Thank you all again for your comments. Here it is a version with a more "dated" wheelbarrow. I hate to manipulate colors like that but.. This is a lighter version too. It is a real working barn, with horses and all. I asked the horse in the background to move closer for a better photo, but he didn't listen! Link to comment
paolonigris 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Dave, thank you for your checking, I appreciate your input, and I love very much your work. I know, I like more darker scenes, as you can see from my recent uploads, just personal taste. Thank you again. Link to comment
bdpics 0 Posted June 30, 2005 Personally, I really like the blue wheel barrow--matches the deep blue of the sky...also, I'm not very fond of "staged" pics, i.e. moving the wheel barrow, horses, etc. Very nice image Paulo! Link to comment
