eclectic image 0 Posted June 23, 2005 Edinburgh awaits the G8 summit and the Poverty March - looks like the anarchists are already in town - man the barricades ! Comments gratefully received. Regards Mark Link to comment
my_pics 0 Posted June 23, 2005 Some Americans like "Dubba" better than the OTHER choice. But politics aside; this is a good photo. 5/6 Link to comment
eclectic image 0 Posted June 23, 2005 Obviously someone can't distinguish between reporting politics and politics itself. Just cos I took a shot don't mean I agree with the sentiments. So if you are going to rate me 1-1 or even 2-2(which I am afraid this photo does NOT deserve) at least have the decency to explain yourself ! Link to comment
christos 0 Posted June 24, 2005 pretty good photo... as concerns George, Tony and the other liars-hypocrites-terrorists on power, they have a strong social support and so represent these widespread and very old western values... which no surprise then can be found here -in this site- as well... (as seen by the moronic 1/1...) Link to comment
my_pics 0 Posted June 29, 2005 You are absolutly correct. It would suit me if the web designers of PN would find a way to tag ppl who dole out anything below a 3 without a photographically natured comment. And when the tagging reaches a certain number, then action is taken. It takes a real #(*$&% to gain a membership with this rather prestigious site and behave like a lot of chat room trash. There are a lot of ideas, religions, political positions, et al that I have zero regard for...but if the photographer (within his own world) produces a quality image, then the image should be judged . . . from a artistic position. It really would be good if PhotoNet could find a way to weed out knuckle-heads. Oh well. We can talk till we're "blue in the face" and they'll still be killing in the Middle East and idiots will slam dunk images as an attack on the photographer. I guess it makes them feel big to annonymously make pot shots. Peace. Link to comment
gareth_harper 0 Posted November 20, 2005 Nice shot. I know what you mean about 1,1's, but to honest I don't care. I don't try to seperate my politics from photography. And the best reporters always had/have an angle. On the other hand I'm usually capable (some or most of the time anyway) of seperating my views from the picture on photonet. I can rate high and slag of the message, not always easy. What did I do that week? I went hunting terrorists, eight of the biggest in the world gathered just up the road from me! Link to comment
