atkphotoworks 0 Posted June 22, 2005 Nour, nice to see you submitting a new image after such a long absence. Nice choice of toning. The subjects are interesting, on elooking straight at us and the other caught in some other world. Link to comment

bens 0 Posted June 22, 2005 very nice portrait, don't need the framing, it detracts in my opinion. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted June 22, 2005 This is a wonderful portrait which evokes an array of emotions in response to what may or may not be the situation for this mother and child. She does look serious, although I wouln't say sad. The boy's whistful, dreamy expression is endearing and makes one wonder what he's thinking about. I like the way he is hugging the post, as it grounds him literally and figuratively into the picture. This is a refreshing change from the usual image in the TRP and deserving of better rating for originality and aesthetics. Personally I would prefer more black and white tones as there seems to be a purple hue, but that's just my taste and doesn't affect the aesthetics of the photo. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 22, 2005 Its good that you are back. Its a great photo, with great light and composition. I think that the frame adds nothing to an otherwise wonderful shot. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted June 22, 2005 I like this shot alot, but think that you have spoiled it somewhat with the silly border! What does the plain image look like? 6/6 [7/7 without the border!] Regards, Nick. Link to comment
nour_eddine_el_ghoumari 0 Posted June 23, 2005 Thank you all for your very positive comments. It is nice to be back here at Photo.net and to see all your wonderful photos again. Regarding the frame within the picture, I do agree it is a bad choice. I worked on this picture over a year ago and as I was new to Photoshop, I got too carried away with too many silly frames. Once again thank you very much for your interpretations of my picture. Link to comment

robert goldstein 0 Posted June 25, 2005 The white highlights on her face create a ghostly appearance. The more I look at this photo the more I want to know her story. Link to comment
