This image was shot with a HOLGA CFN. I used an outdated roll of

Kodak Porta 440 UC film. This image is a double expsoure that I shot

while I was on the ride and while the ride was in motion.

I scanned the print into Photoshop where I then gave the image a

cross-processed effect.

I am very pleased with the outcome of this photo.

Enjoy!!!

Comments & critique is greatly appreciated... thanks.

Good one, although I am not quite sure about the PS thing. I would like to see it without the digital manipulation. Is it possible?

I'm very pleased with the appearance of the image and I think that if I alter the appearance through any type of photoshop correction that would only diminish my interest and appeal to the image. I have only altered the color slightly and upped the contrast a bit... not too much manipulation though. I have to say that this is one of my favorite Holga images that I have ever seen.

I think this is great double exposure, I like the composition and the effect of it.

I think the cross process works, even though I wouldn't have done it.

I like the idea, and the method you undertook to create the image, however, as a photo, it's much too confusing. There is nothing to focus on - it is a nice peice of 'art' but not a very appealing photo.

But isn't that the whole idea of the Twister??? Chaos and confusion. Yes it is hard to focus on one main area because there is so much going on... but that is the theme of the photo. In a twister things swirl and whirl and whip around all over the place... and that is what is taking place here in this photograph... that's what makes the double exposure so effective IMO.

Surprised by Lemke's comments. If it's good art, it's good photography. You have a talent for getting beyond the mundane in photography while photographing the mundane, the urban mundane. As far as focus (attention) is concerned, you have here a pseudo horizon, maybe we could invent the phrase "urban horizon" if nobody has already invented it. Also the text focuses us. Don't change a thing; this is a tantalizing photo.

This is a great freaking photo. It's like and acid trip or a waking nightmare. Almost as if willy wonka and his oompa loompa's are going to come out. It's a very pleasing photo as well as a fine piece of art.
