jocose_wind 0 Posted June 14, 2005 Intense! The texture almost compares to that of a metal statue. Interesting cropping, too. Link to comment
sol exposure 0 Posted June 14, 2005 this is a great shot and i have been thinking about doing something like this in my city along with stories. What did you shoot this with? I think you did a fine job with the conversion. Link to comment
devin_page 0 Posted June 14, 2005 Hi Hilary, I love doing this kinda of shooting, I have 3 really good friends that come with me on sort of urban exploration trips to cities. We usually just end up meeting and talking to the most interesting people. I HIGHLLYY encourage you to experience it. I shot this picture with a digital rebel XT with a 80-300 lens...I recommend atleast 100mm for street portraits as the extra distance between you and your subject makes them way more comfortable. sol exposure 0 Posted June 14, 2005 thanks devin! you have definitley encouraged me to do so. I was thinking about doing it with my hasselblad, but if i decide to do it with my 20D, i have the perfect 100mm lens. i also forgot to mention your cropping is perfect. Link to comment
devin_page 0 Posted June 15, 2005 hey Hilary, its a good idea to go digital, I end up taking so many pics its ridiculous! Thanks for the cropping comment, this shot is full frame :P Link to comment
sol exposure 0 Posted June 16, 2005 i try to stay as "traditional" as i can. I love shooting portraits with my 4x5, and i haven't gotten much use out of my hasselblad (finding an excuse to use it, a series perhaps?). And yes, "Her Silent Awakening" are self portraits. HSA are my initials :) Link to comment
deli 0 Posted September 26, 2005 very nice shot. I like the detail and his expression. May be crop closer to the ear on the left? Link to comment
