mark_l 0 Posted October 30, 2001 Nice photo...the colors are great! Minor critique is that the silhoutted trees over-dominate the left hand side. Also, the file is huge! Its hard to see the whole thing unless on small thumbnail, which is small...nice job nonetheless! Link to comment
dave_bazzel1 0 Posted October 31, 2001 Nice scene and great light. Nice job capturing the moment. To improve it make the tree less dominant and be careful to have a level horizon line especially whenever water is included in the photo. Best wishes to you! Link to comment
sjsimmons 0 Posted October 31, 2001 I agree with what has been said. The colors are great, but the file is too big. The rule of thumb I use is to make the longest side 800 pixels, so usually my pics end up being 800x533 for a horizontal shot. The horizon is a little slanted and I think the tree is a little too dominant. And, on my monitor, there are some white specks that show up throughout the picture, probably originating during the scan. It's good shot, though. Thanks for sharing it. Link to comment
bruce wilson 0 Posted October 31, 2001 The branches are really too overbearing, minimizes the lighthouse size way too much. Link to comment
heimbrandt 590 Posted October 31, 2001 As others have pointed out, the horizon is a bit tilted, I also would have liked the trees in the foreground to take up a smaller part of the image. I took the liberty of putting my words into practice and implemented these with the aid of Adobe Photoshop 6. Forgive me for manipulating your image, all rights to the image are of course your's. In its manipulated state I would rate it higher. Link to comment
tim_vanblaricom 0 Posted November 1, 2001 I like the cropped and rotated version better. Nice color. Link to comment
rameses__ii 0 Posted February 20, 2002 I love the colors, As for the tree it is a little distracting, but if you crop it real tight you can use the tree to frame it!!! Link to comment
