In Your Eyes (V.2)

jvophotography

Since a few people commented that the first submission had yellow in teh background that was distracting, I tried desaturating all but her eye and lips and the lips are very lightly saturated. Thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated.

This is the second submission of this shot. Some folks commented that

the yellow background was distracting so I completely desaturated it

and left only the eye and the lips with color. Additionally, I

lightened the curve and gave it a slightly tighter cropping. Is this

and improvement? Thoughts and comments greatly desired.

Nice soft photo and the subject has good expression. Love the tones and the eye color, lips are fine, not strong colored. But frame is what I don't like (sorry).

It is very nice indeed. I think it has this "dreamy" sense on it.

But I agree somehow the frame is not really right... Maybe I was thinking that a wider coverage will make the picture less stiff?

Maybe something that includes same vertical coverage, but wider horizontal coverage..

So that the picture shows a bit of the girl's body and will shift the eyes a bit more towards the right hand side of the picture ?

Anyway, just a thought, not sure it would turn up nice though.

Thanks.

Albert.

Did either of you get a chance to check out the prior version? Which do you prefer?

Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Joe, I like the other, more colorful version better as it seems more lively and better match an image of a young, carefree girl.

I tend to agree but I think I'm biased. The look on her face in this shot is more of a troubled look so I'm not certain. I think I'm going to submit the full color version at some point, just to see ho wit does.

I agree with the framing being not right. The grass rather than showing DOF interferes with the picture. I do however like the pic overall. The only thing I would do different would be to use the diffuse glow filter.

Michael, I really like the diffused look and I normally think of it and for some reason didn't on this shot. Very, very cool look. I will definitely try it and resubmit.

I also love it when people take the time to try their idea out and show it. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort.
