This makes the elephant look ancient, fossil-like and, at least for me, elicits awe, reverence, and a connectedness to the animal. It makes me feel calm but somehow sad at the same time. I'm wondering whether a slight crop off the right and bottom, which effectively moves the eye a bit toward the right, would be an improvement? Not sure. Link to comment
