It's a wondeful shot. How did you get get close enough to get such an unobstructed view?

First of all I made friends with a security supervisor... who let me go down into a somewhat restricted section of seats in the arena. Then I made friends with the media relations person on field level. And then, as the Queen was getting ready to leave, I asked politely if I could hop the barricade and join the rest of the media. The response was, "Jump the fence fast so the cops don't see you. They get kind of nervous when they see that." :)

After that it was just a matter of waiting for politicians and security guards to veer out of the way.
