peterfauland 0 Posted October 23, 2001 After years of intense investigation, I really managed to find the above juwel of nature during this years trip thru the mid-west of the states. The fine structure of these lines formed out of sand was one of the most impressive things, I found during my search for 'special spots'. Link to comment
mj_gilmartin 0 Posted October 23, 2001 Your search was rewarded. For me it is defintely one of those wow! pictures.... love it. Link to comment
markus_pfeffer 0 Posted October 23, 2001 Wondurful shot of a wonderful place! Breathtaking!! Link to comment
nick_s 0 Posted October 23, 2001 Wow, this is great. I especially love the composition and high contrast (it looks like a red filter was used... am I right?). The effect of the layers of sedimentary rock is much like a slow shutter speed photo of traffic headlights - in other words, I almost get a sense of motion in an otherwise static photo. Well done! jmacneil 0 Posted October 24, 2001 if it wasn't for the focussed background, i would have sworn this was motion blur! great picture, i love the contrast of the layers against the rock formation and the clouds. Link to comment
ryan_nordman 0 Posted October 24, 2001 Fantastic shot, I love the motion presented by the lines, very well composed. As somebody else said, the dark contrast is really great too. Link to comment
j.o.kim 0 Posted October 24, 2001 Its contrast looks like a infra-red photo. Beautiful curve lines add knive feelings to wild nature. Link to comment

peterfauland 0 Posted October 27, 2001 ... for all your comments ! The question about the filter used: It was a COKIN series P 'middle-red' (I just don't know the number at the moment). It is one out of a larger series; I need some time for scanning ... more to come soon ! Link to comment
raymond_liow 0 Posted October 27, 2001 This is one of the best I've ever seen. Really love it. Link to comment
ken_riley 0 Posted October 29, 2001 My first impression is of incredible speed. My second is of a stormy ocean of rock. Beautiful composition. Nice filtering of the sky... do you have prints for sale? Link to comment
marc1 0 Posted November 2, 2001 Its like a giant leaf stretched over the rocks, nice lines Link to comment
stacey_waselovich 0 Posted November 2, 2001 I feel like I'm zooming along on a sled or something (although I know it's not snow)! I could look at this forever, just imagining moving through it. It's beautiful! I know that if I were to go to the same place I would not come back with the same photo. Extraordinary. Link to comment

calvin_hass 0 Posted January 16, 2002 I love the fact that you have managed to create the feeling of motion in such a static climate. Well done! Link to comment
