petals

i think it is a nice idea. i might try it sometime.

i find this kind of shot is a hit or miss and always worth trying.

i like the shiny-ness of the floor.

I really like this photo. Everything is said without using the always repeating ways to do so.

J, I'm going to be my usual honest self and say that I am not sure about this image.

Why? Well, its hard to say as I can't exactly pin point what it is that detracts from the image for me. While there are beautiful story-telling elements (the 'discarded' petals, the shallow DOF, the focus on the petals and not the bride and groom etc) that I find extremely appealing, I feel that the overall image lacks dynamism and a sense of fluidity which exists in your other work. The dynamic nature of your work, together with the strong story-telling element elevates your work above others.

Also, I feel that the petals are not large enough (more prominant) in the frame. If they are the main subject then perhaps a little closer/lower to enhance their importance in the image?
