lucyhollis 2 Posted May 8, 2005 I was just trying out using textured layers. I was pleased with this one. Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Lucy Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted May 9, 2005 I like the flattened perspective. It forces the viewer to search for details, but when there are none you then you relax and enjoy the abstract tecture, colors and patterns. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted July 26, 2005 Great sandwiching! As David said, this makes for a good abstract. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2006 I like David's description...I found myself doing that. I really like it! Link to comment
alinux33 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Good choice of texture! I think the result hits the target. Looks like a painting for me. Link to comment
jlt 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Lucy: This is my favorite from your portfolio. It looks like it belongs in an art gallery. For someone so young you have already developed great skill. Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted February 27, 2006 Thanks everyone for your enthusiastic and encouraging comments. In fact I did enter this work in the Bermuda Society of Art's members show last year. It didn't sell, but did get a little talk about in the newspaper's show review, which I saw as a positive sign. And BTW, I'll be 20 in March (scary!), and this young thing will start to wear off. I know I can't hold off developing my style. I enjoy trying things, hearing the reaction, learning what I like and what works. Link to comment
