jason_waselenko 0 Posted May 7, 2005 I really like this picture, and would love ideas on how to improve the shot. Thanks. Link to comment
forrest_andrew 0 Posted May 8, 2005 ahh yes, pyramid lake - a great spot in deed. i like the fact that you got nice and low for this shot. here are a few suggestions: good use of the rock/reed foreground, but i might have even emphasized them a bit more by placing them in a more central position; use a polarizing filter - this would darken the sky a bit, make the clouds 'pop' out more and help you control the glare off the water; graduated neutral density filters work magic at eliminating washed out skies - i don't think it's a real issue here, but they're great for landscape work in general. hope this helps. kevin_krumwiede2 0 Posted May 9, 2005 What was the original media for this, film or digital? If digital, you might be able to play around with the levels a bit and create the appearance of more contrast in the sky. If film, you're better off; you could have a good scan made and probably recover a little more detail from the highlights. Link to comment
jason_waselenko 0 Posted May 9, 2005 Thanks for the comments. The original media was film, so like it was suggested I could edit it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 17, 2005 Lovely peaceful scene. I like the symmetry, the calm and the way the rock at the fore right gives it balance and perspective. Link to comment
