Rasing bars

I shot this while laying flat on my back on the street, or rather terrace. It did make people look weird at me and even whispers where not uncommon. But I like the outcome. I invested in a new lightmeter a Sekonic L588 Dualmaster, it does make a lot of difference compared to the onboard metering system of the 20D.

Very well done. Its a fascinating image. You made superb use of lines and angles. The tonal range is very good. This really is outstanding work. 6/7

I seem to have an affair with lines and architecture. Especially when I am in New York, which in my (lucky) case is every couple of months, I seem to not be able to stop shooting the temples of the city. I just never get bored with them and this city that never sleeps.

Bella immagine! Sembra che i grattacieli vogliano schiacciare l'albero! Bravo! Bye.

Excellent, excellent angle of view, dof and clarity. Very well composed and executed.

Great. What lens was it? BTW, pity that details in the leaves ar burnt out, yet, otherwise, no details in shades would be visible. That's why there is still sth to be improved in digital cameras. I mean, dynamics (tonality range).

Not just that, I compressed it to much. I ususally don't go lower then 60 but now it was 30% I think the D20's tonal range is excellent but Ididn't shoot this in RAW but in hIGH JPEG so that could also explain it.
