fivetonsflax 0 Posted April 22, 2005 I enjoy this kind of subject matter. The inclusion of a human provides scale and a sense of loneliness -- a nice touch. I would like to know the story behind this photo. Link to comment
eamon 0 Posted April 22, 2005 I am drawn to this image, as to me it seems a celebration of industry and the worker. When I photograph industrial scenes I adopt a different attitude and introduce a sence of depression. To me your photograph is refreshing, showing a steel factory as something of beauty rather than a place of hard labour. Just a suggestion with respect to framing, cropping the image just after the worker would reduce the amout of negative space in the image. eamon Link to comment
tachion 0 Posted April 22, 2005 I like this industrial look. Would be ever so tiny little bit better if the guy in the lower right was 10 pixels further up. This looks like "machine conquered man" photo. Link to comment
maurik 0 Posted April 22, 2005 This is great. Excellent choice to do this in B&W. Sharpness. The guy in the lower corner is key though, would not be the same without him. This would be fantastic in full size with all the details, sell it to the corporate head office! Link to comment
hashim a 0 Posted April 23, 2005 I think this is fantastic... has a very *silvery* look to it. Great mix of lines and contrasts... the only thing that that seems just a little out of place is the brighter/whiter area in the bottom right corner. In any case, very nicely seen and presented.
