This is indeed a shot about her eyes! The focusing is spot on, and the image works very well in B&W.

agree with nick, this is a fvery attractive work that stands out. the isolation of her face and the striped cap, the eyes, the off center crop, the flip of hair, there's a lot that makes this seemingly simple shot quite compelling to me.

It's not always possible, probably almost never is an option, but if I had a choice when photographing such an interesting subject, trying to make an impact by drawing attention to the eyes, I'd definitely played down the hat. Stripes dominate too much, for my liking anyway. Maybe a tighter crop?...
