randall ellis 2 Posted August 28, 2005 I thought the detail in the individual branches of this parrot's feather were really interesting. I tried a number of angles at first because I usualy don't care for head-on shots, but after reviewing all the images I made of this subject, I found that this one had a very interesting feel. I liked the tonal values of the leaves against the black background and was happy with the separation. I was concened at first that the image would be flat due to the apparently uniform color of the plant, but as you can see here, there is some tonal separation in the image after all. No adjustments were made to this image, other than cropping out the thin black edges of the film that were recorded by the scanner. I would be very interested in comments from anyone who does not like the image as well as from those that do. Thanks for taking the time to leave comments! - Randy Link to comment
minicucci 0 Posted August 28, 2005 Really nice, Randy. The shot makes me want to look closer, which means it works. Link to comment
