View From Castleton

I think more could have been made of the conditions. The gatepost and sign on the left add nothing and only serve to distract. Perhaps a shot from a few steps forward and a lower viewpoint would have been better.

The light is wonderful. The tones are pleasing. There's lots you can do regarding composition, since there are many elements here. I do like the way the stone fence on the left leads the eye to the cleft in the hills.
