As to Vuk's suggestion - don't do it. This is a good shot. It is at rest - peaceful.The world is working as it should .

Rotation would throw things off balance and introduce tension - and that of coarse is Vuk - - not Bert.

I agree with Vuk that this looks like one of his shots but not that it should be rotated. It works as is. The contrast and lighting are nice.

 

Actually, while I'm a fan of large grain :), I'd be interested to see what it would look like with that suggestion. A milled version of the subject.

Lovely shot. I agree it's very restful and wholesome. A good thing these days. Only question I have is about that little triangle of tan in the bottom of the upper right corner. I *think* I'd prefer it without that.

Great saturation & simple composition. Loads of texture, and I love the gradient of shadow over the pile of grain, it gives it an effective form. I really like this.

I agree with Ken Durling about the little triangle on the right hand side. If you put your finger over it, the strong simplicity jumps at you. Very nice ! (ratings given separately : aesth. 7 because of the triangle, orig. 8)
