Kea - New Zealand mountain parrot.

This photo was taken at the top of a mountain after a 4 hour climb.

Very inquisitive and intelligent, and apparently responsible for lots

of damage to cars.

Good picture with the parrot forming a diagonal itself.

It seems to me a bit underexposed, easy to improve in postproc.

His color and detail are amazing, but I'm concerned that he isn't all in focus. The top of his head and his wing are sharp, but in between is not. Also, the background is quite distracting. I know that often that can't be helped, but maybe you could burn it in or something in Photoshop.

I'm betting your focus was spot on, it's subject motion that's causing the problem here. Actually, I think the colour of the parrot's plumage complements the background remarkably well. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, though, it is adapted to that environment.
