markskelly 0 Posted March 3, 2005 I really like the concept here. The format is a tad too vertical for my taste, but otherwise I really like it. It reminds me of some verticals that Andy Goldsworthy did of some of his creations. I would have liked the background in focus, though. But perhaps that was your intention. What, by the way, created this? Link to comment
lucian_vanghele 0 Posted March 3, 2005 thank for your comment. I will try to post the photo in its original form. I just tried something else using this long vertical. I tried a short dof in order to put that boring sky out of attention. On the other hand I didn't want to cut out the entire sky to have some sort of equilibrium (despite of fact someone else told me the same as you). What do you mean with your last question? what camera I used for this ? it's canon eos 50. Link to comment
forrest_andrew 0 Posted March 4, 2005 i agree with the previous comment. great concept and idea, but an increased DOF and a lower perspective/higher horizon would have benefited the overall image. this way you would maintain detail throughout and eliminate the boring sky. in fact, cropping just above the hill would help. markskelly 0 Posted March 6, 2005 What I meant by what created this is how the ground became cracked. Was it erosion, wind, water or geothermal activity? Looking at it now, it bears a more than slight resemblance to the mars rover photos. Just for laughs, I'd consider coloring one in the same orange/red. ;-) Link to comment
lucian_vanghele 0 Posted March 10, 2005 ok ok ... I see. there is a place in Romania where you can find muddy volcanoes: it is in Buzau county near Berca village. that picture is made there ... anyway, the place is great for pictures Link to comment
