However this strange texture is intriguing...

Thanks a lot for comment. I have a place in my home town I'm coming often making photos of long shadows on the river when sun is low (in winter almost all the time). I was immediately captured by traces on the snow, and I think it's so far the best attempt of showing this mixture light and shadow. Concerning "life" metaphore, I was rather refering to times of rise and time of fall, mixturing together, than overall colors of the photo, but thanks for pointing that - I didn't think of it at all. Regards.
