Bob, this is well done. Compositionally, all the elements are in the right place, especially your model. The color and the terrific light combine to make a very nice shot indeed.

 

I'm curious...what was Bobby shooting? That's a long lens for such a little guy. It should be on a tripod.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Laurie, Bobby is shooting with a long lens (75-300mm zoom) and, obviously, should be using a tripod. However, his father hasn't supplied him with one, so his image quality suffers! Perhaps I need to buy him a light tripod: he only weighs about 65 pounds.

Yes...I think his father should buy him a light tripod. If for some reason this young man's interest wanes, his father can always use the light tripod himself on long hikes.
