jay_patel 0 Posted February 23, 2005 Nice tones Rick...Beautiful blues. The horizon can use some leveling. :-)) Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted February 23, 2005 I didn't like how tight the last shot was so I reposted it having more room on the bottom and top. I go back and forth on how light the water is... Anyway, my fellow photog buddy just spent $500 on ND grads, so I had to show him how I didn't need them and he wasted his money :) OK, I'm just jealous because I want those too, but this still worked well without em.... stp 6 Posted February 24, 2005 The redo is an improvement....the colors are great (including the water). Composition is also great. The sloping horizon needs to be adjusted. It would be instructive (and appreciated) if you would include the exposure time in the technical details; the exposure you used is very effective in contributing to the mood of the image. ricklundh 0 Posted February 25, 2005 The horizon is not tilted...it's completely level. I used a level on my tripod on this and every shot I take. Have you tried a browser crop at the waterline instead of the jetty? Link to comment
ivan_dzo 1 Posted February 27, 2005 If you measure it in photoshop it slopes 0.45%, which isn't much, but when you get it level it looks much better. Link to comment
