He looks like an old, crotchety man; perhaps my grandfather. And also, it's beautifully done and the colors are very satisfying.

Good shot Harry, I wonder if any of the folks have any idea of how BIG this fellow really is...I tried to shoo one off the highway a couple of years ago with a highway patrol officer (The bird had stopped traffic on I-10!)When we got closer and saw his size, we went back to our cars :))

Overall this is a great photograph Harry! The fact that you caught him on the ground doing the "goose-step" is obviously what makes this so good. Your composition having him walking in the frame is very good too, you could even allow a bit more room to walk in on the right.

The Provia 100, with its superb resolution and natural color, was a great choice for this. However, it looks like you are picking up the infamous scanner induced "salt-and-pepper" grain aliasing in the background (in LARGER view). I sometimes get that with Provia and have to use a Scanhancer diffuser for best results. Post processing in Neat Image is also an alternative but that can lead to reduction in detail.

The exposure looks good, even in the shadowed part of his belly. Though that area is quite dark it still contains some good detail. If this were my photograph (unfortunately it is not) I think I would color correct a bit by adding perhaps 02 red to the highlights and 04 to midtones. But no more than that. Once again, a Very Good photograph! Regards.

I think its a father, pacing across the room, hands behind his back, afer midnight, waiting for his daughter to come home. Boy, is she going to get it.

Well, he's most certainly determined to get to where he's heading. It is comical. One is just not used to seeing them like this. Tack sharp image. Body posture and expression are priceless. Almost cartoonish. Fantastic!

Harry - You have been shooting bears so much that now your eagles even look like bears! All kidding aside this is a remarkable capture. Spot on focus, sharp, and perfect DOF. - Randy

Harry this is great. One leg up decisive and inquisitive bend in the neck and quite an expression on the face.. lol. Real funny 7/7

Kind regards.
