edgarguzman 0 Posted May 4, 2005 This is one of the few pictures I see you use the two-third rule. Try to use it. I'm sure you will like more your pictures; see this links abour the rule: http://photoinf.com/General/Geoff_Lawrence/Composition.html http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=003HNO http://www.acdsystems.com/English/Community/ColumnsArticles/PhotoTips/photo-2004-04-03.htm Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted May 4, 2005 Thanks Edgar, I appreciate your advice, but I've always thought that such rules are to be broken! I prefer a much more spontaneous approach to composition, rather than obeying the rules of perceived wisdom. I didn't think about the 2/3 rule when composing this photograph, it just seemed "right" when looking throught the viewfinder! I'm currently exploring square format photography where such rules don't apply! - [no doubt there are others!] Regards, Nick. Link to comment
