Something not quite 'right' about this, great sea but the sky looks too dark. I don't find it balanced - less sky might make it work better.

STEF. I respect your idea about composition. DEANNA AND STEF. About the colours I can only say that the sky in the photo is really the same I saw during that stormy day. Only a ray of sun light was coming out from black clouds.

You have captured a wonderful range of colours from the sea reflecting the dark storm clouds and the winter sun breaking through. This captures perfectly one of the sea's many characters - you can never represent all of them.

 

It is one of my favorite subjects, as you may have seen in my portfolio.
