"The X File"

Part of Friday Nights at Seattle Center series which is an attempt at putting an under-utilized digicam throgh its pace during a dormant winter of 2005. Canon G3, manual mode, 10 sec., f8, 2-sec. self-timer, velbon tripod. Shot #1: Macro mode to get rivet sharp and custom WB#1 for green yellow bias. Shot #2: Focus to infinity for Space Needle and EMP, incandescent WB. Manipulation: Merge two layers into one.

Really detailed info re: how you got this shot! Thanks, I like that. So this is a reflection and that "button" like thing is a rivet? Amazing the distortion of the reflection on the daylight image. This looks like something taken in outer space. Super color, composition and perfect detail! Nice one! Again!

HOWARD: It's a square slot rivet, one of many that hold up the metal skin on the EMP.
