sallycd 0 Posted February 11, 2005 Used PS for the red backdrop, just like shaking species to a bland dinner. I hope you like this. Thanks. Link to comment
vuk_vuksanovic 0 Posted February 11, 2005 i have a soft spot for nature pics that come across as abstractions. nice job (perhaps a 90 degree counter-clockwise rotation could be considered). Link to comment

chad_gard 0 Posted February 11, 2005 Really vibrant colors. I like the red background - it really calls attention to the colors of the spider. I imagine it was fairly painstaking PS work editing the background behind that much web... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 14, 2005 This looks great... spider at work. Nice of you to make the background red as it has enhanced the detail of the main subject and the web too. Slight rotation of the frame would have made the composition diagonal. Anyway looks nice as it is. Kind regards. Link to comment

nicholasprice 0 Posted March 1, 2005 Absolutly fantastic. The lighting is perfect, and the depth of field is too. The red background really adds to the dramatic effect. Thanks for sharing! - 7/7 Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted March 12, 2005 Sally, This is absolutely fantastic! The deep, rich backgground does so well presents pleasing resting ground for the eye, The brilliant yellow and white draw the attention to itself. The white wiggely whatever it is, defines a clear path for the movement. If it was in a different direction than it is now, it would not have been half as nice. The overal colors are so aprpriately placed that one would think it is a post processing designer work. Now, I think This could be improved by a tighter crop. The black patches in the red, on the right, take away from the overal image. In my opiion, there should not be a competition for the dark colors of the spider in this picture. Check the attached image see if it makes sense. If you like it, I suggest you repost it for critique. Kind regards. Link to comment
