I'm Watching You

rafatorcida

Taken at MoMA museum. I really like this painting by Magritte but I didn't want to take the frontal touristic snapshot so I try to convey a couple of feelings for it. I wanted to transmit the idea of the painting, the art, watching us instead of us watching the painting. That's the reason why I added the guy looking at the big eye. The rest has been photoshoped to empower the vision.

How to photograph art in a non-straightforward way and trying to be

creative?. While visiting MoMA museum I found lots of people taking

plain, simple and direct photographs of the paintings exposed there. I

tried to find a different way to show them and the idea of the

painting watching you while you were watching it was quite

interesting. Unfortunately the lighting wasn't very good so I've

changed colours to match the mood in PS.

"You can watch as much as you like" would be my answer to your title. I don't like the half hearted surrealism. Sorry.
