I've been playing with mosiac pictures for some time, and even

though my family is very excieted about them, I'd like to hear

opinions of others. Let me know what you think - what you like and

don't like - don't be shy.

I have never seen anything like this... and I think this is so cool. Im with your family. They're GREAT!!!

Upon seeing this at first I THOUGHT you had some type of terriable filter... then opened it... Awsome!! I have seen the puzzles & posters in the bookstores. But nothing that someone had actually done for themselves.

Now, to the photo in question. Viewed small, it just looks like a very grainy photo. Normal size and I understand what I am looking at, and it makes me smile :) the ONLY thing I would like to see different, is the hands. It looks like this baby is holding a flower??? I think (at least for me)less would be more. Reduce the background and see if you could get the baby to keep his/her hands out of the photo... I know easier said then done... Good Luck and keep these coming! I love them!!

hope he never gets em! as in most things "less is more". that is, larger (and fewer) mosaics would translate better for the image of the child, and their details would also become legible and look less "noisy".

I like the idea. I have seen software that will do this for you but haven't taken the step yet.

As far as "larger and fewer"...Would that not be the same as using larger and fewer pixels in our photos? It would be much less distinguishable and detail would be greatly diminished.

Neat image.

My Mac has a screensaver that makes mosaics like this out of all the images in the system. I love it, and love the concept. Was this hard for you to do? I'll attach an example screenshot.

It's not the best one I've seen go by, but it gives you the idea.
