Deep in the Arroyo

This was taken up the Arroyo Seco after storms which dropped

over 20" of rain in Southern California mountains. I originally

intended to hike another 3 miles up the canyon, but 30' wide

and 5' deep water stopped me.

I like the charcoal gray rock on the left. I don't think the little bit of foreground is doing much for this. Seems like the most interesting thing about this photo is the tree located so close to the rapids. Hopefully you moved closer to it and tried some other compositions.
