mbrown 1 Posted June 25, 2005 Fireworks from Melbourne this past New Years Eve, it's hard to believe that it was 6 months ago. If you are compelled to feel free to comment on my other ="http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=126758">fireworks shots Link to comment
brookover 0 Posted June 25, 2005 Great shot. I like the timed exposure results you achieved here. Good color and contrast. The center looks a bit washed out but doesn't detract from the image IMO. The composition, with the skyline in the lower frame, gives it a great feel. Link to comment
mbrown 1 Posted June 25, 2005 Thanks Tom, how I actually get these shots is to set the camera on bulb, exose and leave open, I have a black piece of card which I put in front of the lens and take away when I want to expose a blast. I set the camera on f22 to maximise dof and sharpness. Link to comment
zlm 0 Posted June 26, 2005 Definitely among the best fireworks shots I've seen here. Though I'm sure we'll soon be seeing hundreds of them (with 4th of July coming up), you've beat them to the punch, and done so in style. Great shot, as well as the rest of the folder. Link to comment
