amypowers 0 Posted September 27, 2001 I think this looks interestingly post-apocalyptic...I am wondering if I should print it lighter, or with more pronounced contrast, though. This is a negative scan that has not been PSed, except to remove a dust spot or two. Note: I think one gets a better sense of it in the "large" image size. Link to comment
mark jones 0 Posted September 27, 2001 I would say I like deborgh 3 and 6 better. There is more light and I can see the model better. It just seems she has more expresion and you took it at a better angle. The shadow across her from the log/her arm is a bit destracting but I do like the look of the photo. Did you take it in the middle of the day? To me it gives the feeling of beeing alone in the middel of no where but with a fun relaxing feeling. Not to get off the subject but I have been in the market for a new camera and woundered how you like the nikon f100? Thanks for sharing! Link to comment
critter 0 Posted September 27, 2001 3& 6 are better shots of the model, but 5 is a stronger photo. The lines of the tree slice nicely against the receding lines of the cliff and shore. There's nice depth to it. I'm not sure the model adds anything - She underwhelms the inherent sweep and drama. Her pose seems to contrast the scene rather than expand it. Keep shooting IR . jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted September 28, 2001 I love this picture. It has a strong abstract design and good use of IR film to give dramatic lighting. Most interesting to me is that it seems to position Deborah, representing either just herself or humanity, emerging from the secure, closed lower left part into the wild, challenging, unlimited upper right part of the landscape like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis. jason neymeyer 0 Posted September 29, 2001 I have to disagree with the others, I think this is my favorite of the folder. I have be interested it trying IR for a while, but my Canon A2E's frame counter will fog IR film. I love your photos, isn't Discovery Park a great place for photography? It's beautiful in the fall. Have you tried doing any IR with you digi-cam? Link to comment
