michael katz 0 Posted January 2, 2005 This was part of an alley way in Coconut Grove, Florida. The shadows are from the electrical wires in the Alley. Link to comment
jon_nally 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Nice striking light has brought out lovely textures, Michael. The four distinct panels made me think of looking at a window. Link to comment
whinterberger 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Well observed, Michael and original , too. I may have cropped the lower half of the lower two quarters , rather than having the 4 even fields. Well done , nevertheless. BTW, I can't fathom some of the ratings, there seems to be an agenda somewhere... Link to comment
ivan_scipiades 0 Posted January 2, 2005 I like your idea. Maybe I would have tryed to make it in an asymmetric way. Perhaps I would have played with either the red-and-white contrast or with the smooth-and-rough one in monochrome, so one "point" would be stronger than two. But it can be a question of personal taste. A propos tastes. Most of your first raters have astonishingly similar tastes. I checked some of them, and found that e.g. Jason Bounia, G Cliff, A Eagle, Tom Mailman, Gordon Strong all are fresh members, have not posted any photo, rated practically the same amount of photos (453-458 at the moment when I cheked it a couple of minutes ago), their everage of ratings were practically the same (3,34 - 3,49) and their ratings went to THE SAME PHOTOS. As I checked the first dozens of their most highly rated photos, I did NOT FIND A SINGLE DIFFERENCE. Strange coincidence. Link to comment
arie_temmes 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Your picture shows that photographing demands a good feel for details. Link to comment
