Wonderful. The whole composition works: Besides the eye in the sky effect, you have neatly individuated clouds lined up forming a neat band parallel to the sea; the reflection of the light on the water is beautiful; the surf provides lots of detail for the eye to explore, and the range of tones is perfectly controlled, right up to the darkened beach at right. An excellent image.

Really really good stuff here. You have exposed ideally for the awesome light and shutter speed just right to capture those waves.

Wow! This is very nice. This is THE perfect sunset picture!

I think this must be Newcastle in the morning Robert,hense all the container ships on the horizon. Love the contrasting colours and I know what a buzz it is to be standing on the beach when the sun shines through the clouds like that.

The sky tones are excellent Robert. Perhaps a graduated ND filter might have been worth a try to lighten the foreground beach a little?

Thanks Richard, you are right about the ND filter. Unfortunatly at the time I took this shot I barely knew what an ND filter was!
