bryan olesen 0 Posted December 28, 2004 I really like this. Good eye - Very nice placement of the figures bottom left. Great work. Did you consider cropping a bit off the top? Link to comment
nb 0 Posted December 28, 2004 An afterthougt. Was the boat digitally added? I can't imagine the shadows of the two people would fall like that on the water. Link to comment
basil g 0 Posted December 28, 2004 Thank you, yes. I've cropped the top a bit, but decided to leave the rest - to remind of a starry night sky. Link to comment
basil g 0 Posted December 28, 2004 But I can :)) It's not a spot light source. Can you tell me please, what the shadows should look like? Link to comment
nb 0 Posted December 29, 2004 Nevermind :). That was my poor sense of physics talking, which told me that a shadow in water should be vertical, on a hard surface it aligns. In any case this is a very interesting picture and you deserved a 6/6 like what I left. Link to comment
jesus_ignacio_mozos_iba_ez 0 Posted December 29, 2004 Guauuuuu !!! Como bolas de Navidad con el reflejo del mar. Una estupenda foto. Link to comment
yasumasa_yanagisawa 0 Posted January 8, 2005 Beautiful and excellent work! Is this a collage? I wonder why it looks unrealistic: it seems to me there are two different water reflections. I understand it's your way, sorry. Link to comment
basil g 0 Posted January 12, 2005 No, it's a single water reflection shot rotated 180 degrees. The fishermen were not. Link to comment
prevordrake 0 Posted April 1, 2005 Incredible! Very grate! This is a real 7/7 shot, maybe a 9/9!!! Link to comment
Carolyn D 44,398 Posted December 24, 2007 It felt strange, looking at the direction of the reflection(of light and then boat), then read all the post. Overall this is an interesting perspective and love the colors.Well done. Link to comment
dd_toth 0 Posted May 2, 2008 It's so weird to look at. When i saw the thumbnail, it looked like they are in a river flowing right next to this monumental forest of trees, with the sun behind the trees, poking through. Viewing it larger you see that it is water, which makes it harder for my brain to recognize this as one photo, brilliant really. This looks like a Van Gogh painting to me, the reflections of the water imitate his brush strokes. Well done. Link to comment
