Thanks for the comments, I did struggle a bit scanning this image with a correct colour balance. Time to get back to photoshop...

 

Who is Mariel Van Arkle?

Sorry Gavin, not much of a critique. This looks like a scene out of the film Muriels Wedding (hence the reference to Mariel Van Arkle). I agree with the comment on skin tones. I have very little experience in the way or portraiture or wedding photography so I I don't know the worth of my comments. I'd crop the head on the right out (she's probably a member of the bridal party or something so can't be cropped) it doesn't add much to the image. It is an interesting candid image with a collection of strange facial expressions. I'm sure it meams more in context with the other images from the wedding.

BTW what are they looking at?

 

Actually I've got no idea what they are staring at, I'll have to see if the Bride remembers. I do remember getting them to look down as the sun was in their eyes but they certainly appear to be looking at something. Maybe it was the Bride's Bouquet!?!

I like the composition. I wonder what they are looking at? The colors seem a little off. Seems a little red.
