Shot almost as is, but the backgrpund has been pumped up a bit-well a lot really, and some colour balancing has been done.

I've been experimenting with lighting crossed with PS post processing in fashion. Any

comments? Does it work? Is the background too distracting for you?

I was wondering that out of so many rates no comments here. Anyway nice experiment with light. The composition is very good so is the lighting and exposure. I am not sure but the yellow bright circle in the background is disturbing the balance of whole of the frame. In landscapes you can have different light sources and they may have different strenghts also but in portraits as the point of focus is the subject and it should have maximum attention. Here your eyes are drawn away from the main subject/model. Anyway nice experiment and all what I said is just my opinion which might be totally different from other. Best regards.

Yes, many rates, few comments. Strange really, I thought people might actually have something to say. Oh well!

When I printed this, I did take the yellow circle down a bit, but it's still quite overpowering. It's an experiment using the golden section as a guide for the composition, i.e. the circle is the centre of a square with a larger square taking up most of the bottom of the frame, etc. If you know the golden section, you'd know what I mean. If you don't look it up on google...it's quite powerful. I guess putting the cirlce right there just makes it too dominant in the frame...no matter how bright it is.

it has been some time since I viewed your folder Brendan and I must say you have some real classies here.

As for the lighting, yes it works for me you seem to have put a lot of thought into getting it right and here it shows,
